In 2022, Automata has completed a significant project for the Arab Co. for Detergent Chemicals, aimed at modernizing their control systems and enhancing operational efficiency. This project involved the replacement of an obsolete Taylor MOD 300 Distributed Control System (DCS) with an advanced Siemens PCS7-based DCS system.
The upgrade encompassed the integration of approximately 3000 Analog Inputs (AI), Analog Outputs (AO), Digital Inputs (DI), and Digital Outputs (DO) counts. By leveraging the cutting-edge capabilities of the Siemens PCS7 system, we were able to deliver a robust, scalable, and future-proof solution that significantly improved the reliability and performance of the plant’s control infrastructure.
