Automata completed a crucial safety project for ARADET-Baiji in 2023, focusing on upgrading their existing relay-based interlock system to a more advanced Siemens PCS-7 SIL3 Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system. This project was essential for enhancing the safety and reliability of the plant’s operations.
The replacement involved integrating the state-of-the-art Siemens PCS-7 SIL3 ESD system, known for its high safety integrity level (SIL) and robust performance. By transitioning to this advanced system, ARADET-Baiji now benefits from improved safety measures, ensuring rapid and reliable emergency shutdowns to protect both personnel and equipment in the event of a critical failure.
